It's a Broadway "sized" theater (more than 500 seats, and I think it's 770?). Within the same complex, there is a "Black Box" Theatre (The Hertz Stage) that seats 200. Lighting and sound in the Alliance are what you'd expect at any Broadway theater. I have no idea how many shows per year, but they have a subscription season as well as other special shows throughout the year. Check their site for more information what what is playing.
