It depends on where in the Lancaster area you would be visiting. If you want to be staying someplace more economical in Ronks, PA (not far from Lancaster), I would recommend the Eastbrook Inn. Breakfasts are modest but rooms are clean, service is very good and the rates are excellent. Next door is another hotel, more upscale and more pricey, the La Quinta. More attractive rooms and substantial breakfasts with a very nice lobby. Have a wonderful visit.

Is there something specific you want to visit? Or are you happy just seeing the farms, buggies, and Amish lifestyle as you drive through? Driving through Lancaster County is a little detour for you, but that’s what I would do! Set your phone to directions to Shady Maple Smorgasbord, because even if you don’t eat/shop there, you’ll be in the heart of untainted Amish farmland. Then chart your course for home and keep your eyes open as you keep driving.
