I am currently in dispute. I have proof of payment for the car park and the recorded time my husband and I were there of which they sent to us, and we were recorded being there for 59 Minutes. We paid £2.00 for 2 hours on my husbands card. We also put in the full registration of which they have stated we did not. They are still disputing even though we have provided bank statement with the £2.00 payment showing without any doubt. I feel soooo strongly about this that I am prepared to go to prison and also highlight this in a big way and will be happy to boycott the carpark and cause some stress to them and see how they like it. My fine has now gone up to £170.00 You imagine the upset this causes elderly people just out for a day trip. No matter what the owner of this car park says, he is misleading people as no one actually checks the wording written and he knows that, as carparks are generally known to be more straight forward, you pay for your ticket, put in window of car and off you go. No one saves a bloody parking ticket when they know they have paid in good faith. I have now been intouch with Citizens advice who will help us get this to a tribunal and also my local MP is going to look into this as the local one to Branscombe has already tried to help someone but the technicality was the wording not read by the person. My Issue is we paid for 2 hours left after just under 1 hour and have the proof on bank statement, what is not to understand about that.
To avoid the car parking in Branscombe. I recommend catching the AVMT Buses 899. The bus runs from Seaton to Sidmouth via Beer and Branscombe. It stops at the village hall & the masons arms. It's much more fun than all the parking hassles. And the views are great.

As the later Pete B the bus service mentioned is excellent. Masons Arms as mentioned before is well worth a visit or overnight stay. Staff brilliant, food great.
