We drove from HW 89 to Boulder on this beautiful road. The scenry is beautiful and there are some pull-outs to enjoy the surroundings. We expected more travellers along the way as it was rather quiet.HaMo1822的完整评论

Can anyone suggest the very best stops? I'd like to see the petrified forest state park and Anazasi state park. How long should we allow for those? We have limited mobility meaning no big hikes but certainly we want to walk to see different views. We will leave Bryce early planning to be in Torrey around 5. Thanks for any help.

You can drive up very close to them if you go to Capital Reef. Mobility issues should not be a problem since it is so close but I don’t know about Bryce.

We actually spent two nights in Escalante - wonderful "bed and breakfast" Canyon B & B. We used that as a base. From there, we drove west to Red Canyon (hiking), Zion (this is a …
We actually spent two nights in Escalante - wonderful "bed and breakfast" Canyon B & B. We used that as a base. From there, we drove west to Red Canyon (hiking), Zion (this is a beautiful drive), and circled over to I-15, driving east on Rt. 14 back to Bryce. From Bryce, it was around an hour back to Escalante. The next morning, we drove up to Torrey - about an hour's drive. It was especially beautiful when we drove that route - aspens were heading toward their peak. This could be a dangerous drive from dusk onward. Because it is "free range", there are cattle everywhere - even in the middle of the road. Beware! There weren't many places to eat in Torrey, and I don't know about accommodations. We had such a wonderful vacation - wishing the same for you!

The road is paved (but some areas have no shoulder (other than dirt) and there are quite a few hills.
