Hey all. I was wondering if driving from Victoria falls to Kapula camp. Do you need a 4x4 or can any car make the trip? This will be in 3-4 weeks time. Thanks.
答:
overall you don`t need a 4WD in Hwange in general in dry season and even during rain season you get to the camp even with smallest car available.
Hi All Am thinking about staying at Jambile Camp for a couple of night and would apprciate advice on the camp and wildlife in the area. Many thanks Rob NZ

We saw plenty of wildlife here including lion, Elephants, wild dog, hippo, crocodile, giraffe and leopard tortoises, it was a very memorable experience. We stayed at Bomani and Nehimba and travelled on the Elephant express. My daughter has her own travel company and has been to many camps, if you are interested her website and s on my profile you can contact her through there, she will be able to give you more information that I can. She specialises in tailormade Africa trips. Hope that helps. But we loved Hwange and I would return tomorrow if I could, it felt very exclusive. Hope you get to experience it.
Hi, can I enter Hwange NP from Pandamatenga in Botswana?

We are thinking of visiting Hwange late December this year but are worried about what wildlife we will see on account of it being the rainy season. Any advice would be good and also feedback on any reasonably priced camps to stay in. Thanks

We visited in mid January and saw everything we expected, including lions (the very reclusive leopards are hit and miss in any season). Lots of giraffes, zebra, wildebeast, elephant, jackal, hippo, crocodile, and even a cheetah. We had little to no rain during the day.The guides have a little more freedom to roam, compared to parks where they are restricted to roads (and so your viewing is based on what can be seen from the road). If the weather cooperates, you will have some great viewings but it is admittedly tougher than the (more expensive) dry season when you can simply park beside one of the remaining waterholes and let the game come to you, as we did in Kenya/Tanzania. Hwange is home to Camelthorn Lodge, one of the best we have experienced. We have found it a little difficult to locate “reasonably priced” as lodgings seem to be deluxe or minimal, with not a lot in between. When travelling to African game country, we try to get the best price just on the edge of shoulder season.
Hi. Where in Hwange would you recommend I stay with my husband and two teenage sons? All they want in the world is to see and be around wildlife! Don't need luxurious accommodations.
