A Kittery child care center where nearly a dozen people were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning last week did not have a working carbon monoxide detector.

LewisGale-Allegheny has sectioned off an area in the hospital to reserve for students and parents who are testing for carbon monoxide levels.

KITTERY (WGME) — Several children and adults were rushed to the hospital after a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a day care center in Kittery, but all are expected to recover, officials said.
