India is a land of rich heritage and cultural diversity which is home to some of the most magnificient statues in the world.

The statue was inaugurated on November 18, 1989 by the XIVth Dalai Lama. This huge figurine depicts Lord Buddha meditating (dhyana mudra) while he is seated on a giant lotus in open air.
