State investigators are looking to track down a vandal who used axes and chainsaws to chop down trees at a fish hatchery in Puyallup.
Axes and chainsaws were used to chop down trees in a state-owned forest, some of which had been growing for two centuries.
Reports spread quickly on Thursday morning after walkers discovered the 300-year-old old tree had been cut down overnight. Local photographer Ian Sproat shared images via Instagram of the fallen tree.
