Located in Hermann Park and close to Houston's Museum District, the zoo is about 4 miles south of downtown. The zoo does not have its own parking lot; free parking is available in Hermann Park.

What's more, the park is also home to the Houston Zoo. Aside from the zoo, the McGovern Centennial Gardens and the Miller Outdoor Theatre are some of the most popular points of interest in the park.
