With duck numbers dwindling over recent years, many waterfowlers are switching from ducks to the more plentiful geese.
Try and hunt off to the side of where you want the geese to land. Then you can shoot them as they hook into the hole. You won’t be killing them in the decoys, but they will be less apt to flare.
