The terminal, located on the former Kai Tak Airport’s runway, opened more than 11 years ago but has been criticised over poor transport links and underused facilities.

Kai Tak Sports Park is located on what used to be the northern tarmac of the old Kai Tak Airport, and it is about 10 minutes by foot from the Kai Tak MTR station or Sung Wong Toi MTR station.
