Officers acted on intelligence when they searched the duo on Muir Street, in Motherwell, and say cannabis with a street value in the region of £150k was recovered.
This was after reports of a crash involving a 68-year-old man and a white Ford Puma. The pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he later died on Thursday, 21 March.
