An effort to get San Diego County to throw its support behind a bill in Congress that would ban transgender girls and women from competing in women's sports failed when it was brought forward at the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The county Board of Supervisors Tuesday failed to advance an endorsement of a proposed Congressional law that would block transgender females from competing in women’s sports.

The Minnesota High School League announced plans to pushback on the Trump administration's executive order which bans transgender athletes in women's sports

Iris Turmelle, one of the plaintiffs now in high school, told Them in a statement last August that her goal is simply to compete alongside her peers.
