2004年2月1日 · For 1971, the base Chevelle was called just that, a Chevelle. VINs started with 133xx (6-cyl) or 134xx (V8). Malibus were 135xx and 136xx. The Malibu was an 'upscale' Chevelle much like an Impala or Caprice is an upscale Biscayne.

2025年1月21日 · Hello, my friend gave me his 396 out of his chevelle. The casting number is 3935440. That casting number comes back to a 68-69 396. I’ve search several sites and the engine code on the front of the block is puzzling, as I can’t find anything. It is T0418IV. The IV part I’m not seeing anything. See pictures and sites I’ve looked at.

2024年11月20日 · Chevrolet Performance sells a TON of cate engines used in grassroots dirt track racing. The rules allow only 602 crate engines, or 604, etc. Engines have to be sealed and not modified, etc. I believe 602 and 604 are the last three digits of the GM part numbers. And by the way, those engines get HAMMERED and they survive.

2025年1月27日 · Back in the early 90's I tried to get info on the 1970 Chevelle that had all the SS features but no build sheet. Tried Chevrolet (they had a dept to do history back then) and tried DMV. Nuthin. In my case, the engine had been rebuilt (454)and was decked. Bought as a Malibu - sold as a Malibu.
