Virtually every part we manufacture that goes into a vacuum or critical atmospheres is leak tested on an industry standard Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector. Many times, parts are tested more than once during the production process.

The helium mass spectrometer developed by Gadro is a fully automatic mobile helium leak detector featuring a silent wheel design. It utilizes nitrogen mass spectrometry and reverse diffusion principles, with a 180-degree non-uniform magnetic field and automatic control.

Leakage is detected using an instrument called a Helium Mass Spectrometer, which also measures the rate of leakage. Leak Detector works on the concept of a sector field mass spectrometer. Containers that need to be tested for leakage are usually filled with Helium and put in a vacuum chamber.
