2006年11月20日 · Hi George and welcome, I have a dx of cochlear hydrops - mine started early this year. First the tinnitus, then hearing loss (low frequencies), pressure (constant in my case), and episodic dizziness but no vertigo. This I'm told by a number of ENT's and neurotologists is the normal symptoms of cochlear hydrops.

2022年8月7日 · Saw another ENT in Florida and she had my results (CT scans, hearing tests, pressure tests, MRI's) sent to another otolaryngologist in Florida. No diagnosis from anyone until the one in Tampa said I have Cochlear hydrops. A year after this happened one episode of vertigo but none since. Does affect thinking.

2024年4月8日 · After 3 years of the endless head pressure, nausea, "feeling like crap all the time", I have finally found a treatment for the relief of these symptoms of my cochlear hydrops. I tried all the normal remedies that my ENT recommended (low-salt diet, diuretic, betahistine, prednisone, intra-tympanic injections, amitriptyline).

2016年9月11日 · I was diagnosed with cochlear hydrops a few months back, and had been in a cycle where I'd have 1-3 bad days followed by 2-8 "good" days. On the "Bad" days, I'll have fullness, poorer hearing in lower frequencies and increased tinnitus in those same frequencies.

In one area, it causes vertigo, in another hearing problem, often it is in both areas and causes both hearing loss and vertigo. Often it starts in one area and progresses to both. I had the same symptoms as you.

2022年11月2日 · The hydrops that started over 20 years ago in my left was just the beginning of my hearing loss. I've lost hearing in my right ear as well. Such is life and thank goodness for hearing aids.

2022年8月7日 · Thanks for your posts. I have bilateral cochlear hydrops and had a resurgence of episodes this past December in one ear. Treated it with oral steroids first which in the past has put me in remission but these only helped temporarily. My doctor then did a series of steroid injections (which worked wonderfully on my other ear a few years ago).

2020年2月7日 · 21 year old here with initially bilateral cochlear hydrops for little over year now. I got my first hearing loss episode few weeks after a nasty flu/something that left me a weird rash, weird tingling feelings all over the body and constant post nasal drip. All of those symptoms still exist to this day, including the hydrops.
