2013年6月28日 · I have a small inland lake near my home that they stock with Rainbow trout. I am looking for some tips on how to catch them. The only success we have had is we used a small glow in the dark jig tipped with a crawler. We did this with a drop light and fished at night in about 25-30 foot of water.

2005年12月18日 · The lighter the line the better I have found, especially for larger trout as they can be very line shy. Also try fishing at night with a bright light shining down into the hole to attract the plankton and minnows. I tear the rainbow trout up that way. Good luck out there and be safe.

2023年8月24日 · On advice from a fellow M-S member, the Michigan Stinger Scorpion spoon in rainbow trout pattern (RS9) trolled with a long lead from a 3lb mini rigger ball worked for me on the planted lake I fished. I swapped the stock treble hook for a Gamakatsu size 1 swish hook.

Last year DNA samples were taken from 13 rainbow trout @ Port Sanilac. 11 of the samples proved to have been from the Eagle Lake strain which have been planted @ these ports.

2018年10月9日 · 16,000 steelhead were planted this spring! i was there when the hatchery truck arrived. i see drop back in early april back down the river but no one fishes for them. A few are caught ice fishing but most are targeting lake trout on the ice here! i will try to get more info on the stocking for you!

2017年7月23日 · This fish was caught about 30 yards upstream from same stream that the 2nd trout pictured was caught from. (The Brookie in the plastic bag.) Yet, this fish is a Brown Trout. Its markings, (the fins and spots) are very reminiscent of a Brookie though. Maybe this Brown Trout hangs out with a lot of Brookies and that has affected its sense of style…

2023年1月24日 · As others have said, don't let them get wet, especially near the trigger, if it's below freezing. I always make sure to pull the jaw jacker away from the hole before I start fighting the fish so when pulling the fish out, no water drips into the jaw jacker.
