2016年3月21日 · I still have a 22" Samsung 1680x1050 monitor originally bought in 2007. I played Crysis 1 on it and later got a 24" Dell 1920x1200. Both of these are 16:10 monitors, not 16:9 as 1080p monitors/HDTVs are. All that means is that there are more lines of vertical resolution.

Also, may find that switching from a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor (1680x1050 and 1920x1200) to a 16:9 aspect ratio monitor (1920x1080), the field of view in the game may change. It depends on the game; each game does it differently.

2016年12月9日 · Before I formatted his comp for him (Really bad virus), the screen resolution was apparently ok, but it's no pretty poor, with no option to set the screen resolution to the aforementioned 1680x1050 setting; 1600x1200 is the closest option available, but the monitor wigs out, stating that it should be set to 1680x1050.

2009年12月14日 · Running 64 bit at 1680x1050 with no problems. It automatically set it to 1680x1050. You might check in the monitor settings and sure that it is not set to a 4:3 screen size instead of 16:9 or 16:10. If your getting widescreen options but no 1680x1050 it might be set to 16:9 instead of 16:10.

2009年12月6日 · A 20" 1680x1050 will look nice, a 24" 1920x1200 will look nicer, and a 30" 2560x1600 will look nicer still. There are other factors to consider too. Image quality varies widely between monitor types, with most cheap LCDs sold having TN panels (lowest quality), and the higher end models having VA and IPS panels (which look much nicer IMHO).

2007年2月5日 · 1680x1050 = Widescreen Resolution 1600x1200 = Standard TFT LCD monitor/CRT. From what I have seen, some games dont post that exact 1680x1050 resolution in game options nor in the windows screen properties panel. You would have to make a custom resolution for it. I use a monitor that supports 1600x1200 as its max resolution and seems fine …

2007年11月10日 · Can I set the game to use 1680x1050 resolution, and configure the monitor not to stretch the picture, but instead center it on the screen and leave black borders. That should be possible, at least technically and it should not technically make me lose image quality.

The 1680x1050 fonts will appear to be much smaller than the fonts on the 1440x900 monitor. Whichever you get, run it in its native resolution for least eyestrain. Well I figured that much out, but will there really be a difference in the way games look besides font size?

2010年6月25日 · I have an upstar I240wm monitor that doesn't seem to display at 1080p. I got a gtx 970 today, installed the drivers and connected it using a dvi cable but the resolution is stuck at 1680x1050. I thought it was the drivers/graphics card but I tried connecting the monitor to my laptop using a vga cable and its still stuck on that resolution.
