2015年6月11日 · The expander has the advantage of working before the connection is made, so I suppose if you plan ahead you can avoid using the tool in a tight space, but the tool looks a bit more difficult to use in, say, a crawlspace where you'll be lugging around an extension cord everywhere you go. Just my 2 cents. I've never used an expander before.

(the end goal there being that the ring should cover the area spanned by the two middle barbs on the pex brass fitting).

2022年5月27日 · The original elbow at the bottom after removing the vertical PEX piece revealed it had been badly scored by a knife by a previous 'plumber.' This setup was waiting to leak. The problem with the copper rings is you have to cut off a generous piece of PEX and use a special cutting tool. The PEX crimp stainless clamps are easier to remove in place.
