2022年7月6日 · The max "speed" for your raft is 2.5. Sail moves you at 1.5 speed. And it doesn't stack with anything, be it engines or other sails. One engine can move up to 100 foundations at speed 2 or up to 110 at 1.5. Two engines move up to 200 foundations at max speed 2.5 or up to 220 at speed 2.

They do different things, so you want both. The currents in the game move your raft from west to east. (as indicated by the streamer, which shows ocean currents, NOT wind) Sails move your raft in the direction the sail is pointed while still being subject to (and weaker than) the ocean currents.

To reach islands, you’ll need the sail. Otherwise, your raft will float aimlessly. With the sail, you can direct your raft toward islands — but you won’t be able to land without an anchor.
