2018年4月24日 · Well like the title says, guys killed a dcd996 today. Drilled one hole fine went to drill a second hole and the trigger went dead, nothing not even the light will come on. Found a new motor and switch assembly on ebay for 1/3 of the price of ereplacementparts.

2021年3月3日 · This drill was produced in Czech Rep. at first and now they are all made in China, I am talking about DCD996. There is a huge difference in assembly quality between China and Czech Rep. I have opened one of these to fix and also a brushed 3 speed DeWALT drill and I could see the difference.

2016年5月14日 · If you can find a store with both on display to compare, see if you're ok with the weight of the DCD996. Personally there's such a difference in power I'd go for the DCD996. Edit just noticed you have the DCD791 already so the DCD796 would be redundant. If you really want the DCD996 for masonry, skip that and get a rotary hammer.

I have drilled maybe 80 two-four inch holes for far, and the drill recently began making a rattling sound whenever I shake it (including when not powered), which was not present when new.

I have been able to find from local hardware stores DCD996 powerdrill manufactured in the Czech Republic that I purchased. I don´t want any made in China tools. I have been looking for DCF887, DCS355, DCF899 and DCF894.
