I have had zero regrets and would buy it again.

Pros/cons i changed my 115 hp 4stroke mariner for a 115hp 2stroke e-tec evinrude so far i think i made a good choice. the same fuel cosumption as the 4stroke, and if you take changing the sump oil into consideration, i dont think the 2stroke will burn mutch more oil. and a lot less parts to go wrong.

I just purchased a 2007 75 hp E-Tec. The dealer recommends to put in the Evinrude XD-50 oil. This oil cost $27.00 a gallon. I see that it is rated TCW-3. I noticed that Pennzoil Premium Plus at Walmart is also rated TCW-3. I can get it for $12.00 a gallon. Is the dealer oil any better or will...

2012年1月29日 · Re: Evinrude E-Tec? Just for the heck of it I checked the gph on 11 Etec 90 tests. average wot gph was 8.04 with a high of 9.20 and a low of 7.63. gph is actually about 9% Not hard to figure on a 90 but a little tougher with a 125.

2012年2月14日 · Re: E-Tec engine reliability? e-TEC motors do not differ much in the cooling system from the motor you are running now. If the current motor sucks in sand/much, the e-TEC will also. I for one, would much rather cook a cheap motor than an expensive one. I do not think e-TEC is the answer you are looking for...maybe an airboat?

The proper prop is one that allows the engine to run at the high end of the manufacturers wide open throttle RPM with what you consider an average load.

2021年9月29日 · I have a 2010 Evinrude etech, electric start that had not been started in about 1 1/2 years until today. Probably has 2 hours run time since the vapor separator was replaced. Engine started and idles ok for about 1 minutes, then when I gave it throttle it was slow to respond but did rev up and pump water.
