After getting under it, I saw that half of the flex pipe had snapped. So I order: 1x Walker 41791 Flex Pipe 4x OEM Exhaust Nut (90080-17187) 2x OEM Resonator Exhaust Bolt (90109-A0064)

2013年4月11日 · A few flex pipe problem has been popping up lately. I guess the winter roads have taken its tolls. I had my flex pipe replace for $70 total. I bought a 2" ID flex pipe for $35 for O'reillys and had a muffler shop cut and weld it on for $25. (Plus $10 for BBQ paint) Call some local exhaust shop and find a good price.

2019年8月21日 · Norm is spot-on about the flex material - the (cheap) eBay replacements pipe flex section only lasted about a year, before degrading. Advance Auto sells the complete front pipe w/ Cat ( Walker 55537 ) gaskets ( Walker 31374, *2 req. ) and the flanged bolt hardware to connect the rear section, if going the DIY route.

2012年1月31日 · Another thing to take note of, especially if you're using a longer replacement pipe, is that the downstream pipe starts bending down toward the floor very soon after the flexpipe. My new flexpipe, (being made in China) had a great defect setup for this because one end connector was attached at a pretty significant angle.

2019年4月8日 · In particular exhaust pipe tends to be thin as well as showing corrosion on the outside so dirty too, and I think it's super likely that with my limited welding equipment and experience I'd just burn right through the pipe rather than weld it. So I am reluctant to buy a new $25 universal-fit flex joint and think I can weld it on.

2007年4月6日 · Flex pipe My 94 flex pipe developed a hole in it, and being the chepo that I am, I called around to see what was out there. I found one at a Midas muffler shop and cut out the old one - welded in the new one - done. I spent about 2 hours on it and the flex was less than $25. I pulled the entire exhaust out and checked the rest of it at the time.

2023年11月12日 · Miraculously, the OEM flex pipe lasted 12 years, and the replacement Walker flex pipe lasted 6 years; on a daily driver in the Washington DC region where it gets hot and cold and where they use salt on the roads!

2015年9月6日 · I think I need my exhaust flex pipe replaced. My car sounds so old and crappy when accelerating. Is there anyway I can cut this out and replace it myself without welding? If I do need to take it somewhere can someone recommend a good replacement part? Here is a pic of it: flex pipe camry 5.2.2015

2008年2月6日 · After the flex section of the existing exhaust was removed and the clamp to the body (frame) was cut off, I replaced it with an 18" section of the exact same pipe as marc780 described. Although I had no problems clamping it.
