2016年2月26日 · A vise is not a press. Over cranking on the best vise will sometimes produce the same results. They all break at some point. Maybe the Wilton or the Reed would have done the job or maybe you would have broken a $500 vise instead of a $50 vise. It really sounds like that pin comes out some other way like from the other side or something.

2008年1月13日 · A small arbor press is useful for removing bushings from shocks and pretty basic tasks that otherwise you might use a couple sockets and a vise for. However, unless you go super big with lots of leverage, and have a workbench bolted VERY securely to the wall, an arbor press just is never going to be as good as a small hydraulic press.

2017年4月1日 · Most folks don't know how to check calibration, the easy way. Clamp the 3/8" or 1/2" end in a vise, where the handle end is free to swing vertically. Measure out 12" or 24" from the pivot, and hang the weight of your choice on the handle. If using the 24" spot, divide by 2 on the weights. You're looking for foot/pounds, not 2 foot/pounds.

2007年10月3日 · The bench vise is anchored through 3" or so of Douglas fir and plywood with large bolts and washers.Nothing moves when I use the large pipe wrench with the cheater pipe. If not anchored well I would have ripped it out of there a few times already just like I did before with one anchored with lag bolts.:eek1
