Apache seat roles, UK vs. US - PPRuNe Forums
2023年1月7日 · My understanding is that in UK usage, the Apache is commanded from the front seat; commander also primarily responsible for weapons control. Back seat primarily responsible for flying. And that quite often front seat is a young officer and back seat an older NCO. But I *think* that in US usage back seat does the flying *and* the commanding.
Helicopter Pilot Seats....Crimes against Humanity!
2005年4月13日 · Rotorheads - Helicopter Pilot Seats....Crimes against Humanity! - I have been driving these things since 1967....and with the very rare exception have found seats in helicopters to be a damn disgrace if not downright evil in the damage they do to backs and necks.

AS350B3 Left Hand PIC Configuration - PPRuNe Forums
2017年10月30日 · Flew a lot of slinging jobs from left seat B2. B3 and the EC 130 in Canada. I loved it. We used an armrest, which is a definite must, and ideally doors off, or we had bubble doors during the colder months. You really have to lean out there, and being taller may have helped out. I think I preferred it to using the floor window on right hand seat ...
Crashworthy pilot seats - PPRuNe Forums
2007年4月28日 · The seats on the Black Hawk, AB-139 and S-92 will protect the pilot's back in impacts up to 18 to 20 g's, where it is guaranteed that major back injury will result if such a seat is not used. I often found myself clutching the stick between my knees so i'd have a hand free to set ...

2025年1月1日 · Rotorheads - The highest-paying positions in the helicopter aviation industry - Dear fellow aviators, I'm curious to know what is regarded as the top position for a helicopter pilot. While airline pilots often aspire to captain wide-body aircraft, what is the equivalent for us? Is it commanding an offshore helicopter,
Why Do You Fly From the Right Hand Seat? - PPRuNe Forums
2004年12月13日 · Whether your blades turn one way or the other, the collective is always on your left, therefor it is easiar to sling from the left seat. This is most prevelant in the S-61 where slinging (Long-Line) from the right seat is virtually impossible due to the distance from seat to window. Even in a 205, the prefered seat for slinging is the Left seat.
Why Do You Fly From the Right Hand Seat? - PPRuNe Forums
