2013年10月31日 · The basic Italian keyboard layout as shipped with Windows 7 has no way of typing the backtick (`) or the tilde (~). I checked this using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC), with that layout loaded into it. I presume that this layout is more or less standard in Italy, though of course Microsoft might have its own oddities here.

Choose apply and remove the other layout (presumably italian)¡ If you don't remove the italian you could accidentaly change back with shift + alt or some other combo.

Porgy, you should realize that that image is showing several things: The Italian locale layout, my Colemak[eD] AltGr mappings on the gray keys, and the AngleWide ergonomic mod which puts the []œ\ keys in the middle.

In my Windows 10 workstation with standard Italian layout I use [Alt] + [126] for normal tilde ~ and [Alt] + [96] for backtick `` ` ``, which is consistent with the link you provide.

I'm using Windows 7 system with an Italian keyboard layout. As you can see this layout miss the tilde ~ character and the backtick character. Btw backtick is not so important because I can emulate it in bash script using $(and ). The problem is that every time I need the tilde I have to hold Alt and type 1 2 6 (i.e. its ASCII code), it's boring!

2015年7月6日 · On Italian keyboard, you can type curly braces ("{" and "}") by typing Alt Gr+Shift+è and Alt Gr+Shift++, respectively (see picture below, taken from this question). The "è" and "+" characters do not need any key combination, you just press the corresponding key.
