1 天前 · Watch full-length Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood programs. The first Monday of every month will feature programs from the early years 1968-1975. The third Monday of every month will feature programs from the “Theme Weeks” library 1979-2001.

Fred Rogers was the creator of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood as well as the host of all 895 episodes, the composer of its more than 200 songs, and the puppeteer who imagined 14 characters into being. More importantly, he changed the face of children’s television and transformed the way we think about the inner lives of young children.

Lady Elaine says that she will tell them about her discovery tomorrow and that she’s not getting married. Mister Rogers talks about how the rumor about the wedding started. Elsie Neal stops by with a multimedia painting and the news that the pot she and Mister Rogers made has been lost.

Mister Rogers took us by the hand and together we learned about ourselves, others and the world around us. His messages are as relevant today as they were 50 years ago.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers explains that the moon is much too far away for a person to jump to. As he talks about the size of the moon, Bob Brown stops by and invites Mister Rogers for a visit to his marionette theatre.

Dr. Bill Platypus comes by playing his bag-pipes. Rumors spread through the neighborhood that Lady Elaine is going to marry someone from outer space. No one will listen to Lady Aberlin who explains that this is just a rumor. Mister Rogers explains that wishing doesn’t make things happen.

Mister Rogers plays with shells in his sand table while he talks about the beach. Francois Clemmons comes by to see the Browns to rent a room for giving voice lessons. Judy Brown invites Francois to sing for the marionettes. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, X pretends he’s Benjamin Franklin.
