2021年1月21日 · Metal or plastic. There are exterior trim restoration products avaiable for plastic cladding and they work well enough. On metal, I just repaint them. If the come off easily I will pull them and spray them. If not, I mask and do it with a fine brush. Flat black usually turns out alright that way if you keep an eye on the temperature.

Do they leave an OEM finish (not too glosses, I would like a matte finish) and it should feel dry, non-greasy.

May get hate for this, but I've always used Car Plan black trim wax with amazing results. I have a mini cooper with plastic trim all around the car, and tbh I've yet to find anything that works as well as that. Last a good 3-4 months before it start to slightly fade with regular jet washing, and the bottles only around a fiver! (6-7 dollars)

I've had to restore worse hazey gloss black plastic trim pieces than that before. Not much can be done by hand to restore this. You could try to rub in some heavy cut compound in with a microfiber in a circular motion, then do the same with finishing wax on top, but it won't look anywhere near as good and definitely won't look properly restored.
