2016年10月18日 · I have a 1973 Porsche 914 that's converted to 100% electric power. It even has carpool (clean air) stickers for driving in California HOV lanes. It has a dual AC motor, which is two AC motors on one shaft and one housing, so it looks like one motor but is actually two. It's the AC-35 x 2 made by HPEVS. 1000 amps at 144 volts, so technically 144kw.

2019年1月7日 · FYI, the original guy put well over $100k into the conversion, and then I've invested more in going to the AC motors. The transmission 2nd gear (synchro) was grinding, so I also just had the entire transaxle rebuilt. Shifts great now. 1973 Porsche 914 There are other converted 914's, but I've never seen or heard of one done this nicely.

2024年5月9日 · It was weird but didn't bother me much until I started wondering if it might pop open while I drove the car. I deactivated it soon after that thought. As best I recall my kit had beed the version 3. My 2024 hasn't that helper although I just ordered the kit for self locking without needing a hand press to secure the latch.

2009年5月22日 · I don't know the weight. However, at a very rough guess it should be similar to the stock Porsche 911 since the batteries replaced the engine. Unlike most folks driving EV conversions, I know nothing about this stuff. I just hate gasoline and I love electric transportation. Be it cars, trains, or trolley buses, I like electric.

2023年2月10日 · The Chevrolet Corvair is a perfect platform for an EV conversion with the power plant in the rear. Lots of room for batteries in the front and motor, controller, etc in the back. My original plan was to convert my 1968 Corvair Monza to electric - and I had started to amass various bits and pieces so I could do the conversion myself.
