2004年6月20日 · When thinking in terms of a rotary table, think of large diameter flat aspected work. Dividing heads usually have a duplicate of the milling machine's taper in the spindle nose. Rotary tables have either a taper, many times a standard Morse Taper, or else a cylindrcal bushing in the center. Dividing heasd are usually geared at a ratio of 40 to one.

2011年1月17日 · Depends on the stuff you do, but I have both and use the dividing head about 5-10X the amount I use the rotary table. The dividing head can be rotated vertical and the lathe chuck attached, with the lathe work still in it. IMO, the rotary table is always a pain to set up, locate center, then somehow clamp the work where you need it.
