2022年2月13日 · Textbook example of the type of sword carried by most Federal and militia officers in the 1810s and 20s. Ditto to everything Ludwigh said, especially the part about protecting the scabbard. I've handled a few of these in the past few years and the scabbards are usually in pieces when found nowadays.
