2017年11月28日 · Any carbide tool is harder than Tenifered steel. A solid carbide drill bit would drill a Glock barrel easy. And heat build up is a good point. You don't know if you can leave a shoulder until you start really looking into drill sizes, interior dimensions, cost, blah blah blah. Soft solder (or silver) would do it though. Cat

2024年12月19日 · Use a left handed drill bit thats a JUUUUUUUUUUST large enough to grab.. Put drill in reverse, put that bit in there, go slow... hope it grabs. Pull gently, and just barely keep the bit moving. Or.. just drill/tap it and use the next size up or so machine screw, provided you can remove that much material and still be structurally sound.

My two problems were the pin that goes through the grip hit just a tiny bit of the bottom part of the rail which stressed me out trying to figure how to get it past without enlarging the pin ...

2005年6月1日 · I put the trigger bar in a vise and use my 8" drill press with a 5/64" bit. Two regular high speed drill bits, one Titanium, quad point drill bit and two hours later, the new hole is not even half way through the trigger bar. ;P Damn, the Glock trigger bar is made of some hard stuff. What am I doing wrong?

2025年1月10日 · I tried to install a Night Fision front sight which I managed to loosen a little bit with a 3/16 socket, am I screwed or can a qualified Glock armorer get that screw off and install the new sight, sorry about my rant but I'm so frustrated with the whole situation I'm in. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott.

2020年3月19日 · So I went to Lowe's and bought the Irwin 8 - 32 tap and drill bit set. Along with that I bought several $4 to $5 Dewalt drill bits 3/32 7/64 and 9/64. These were labeled as Dewalt Split Point, very sharp. And 2 of the 8-32 set screws with the Allen head, these were roughly 3/8 inch long. I never used the 9/64 bit in this build or repair.

Find out the size of the screw Bolt The worn out torx should get your drill bit close to center,,be careful with your drilling depth,,of course don’t damage the threads with a to large of a width drill

2012年3月17日 · First I ground the end of the drill bit flat and sharp, to punch 1/2" disks. This worked, but made gas checks with very short sides. It was also hard to center the bullets on the gas checks. Then I went back and ground the end of the drill bit down to about 40 caliber, and ground a cutting shoulder a little way back from the tip.

2021年6月2日 · I then use a 7/64" brad point drill bit for the 4 3mm holes. Yes you will have to open up the 4 holes drilled with the 7/64" bit to 3mm afterwards.When you open up the holes to 3mm, use a straight 3mm bit (or #32) by hand ONLY. I like to put my good 3mm bit into a small tap handle to help make sure that the bit remains 90 degrees to the frame.
