What is the carbon cycle?

Here are my thoughts on activated carbon and it’s use in filters. It’s not bad, it has its benefits, but those benefits are mostly for the aquarium viewer, and not for the fish. The space is better used with more media to help keep the water parameters healthy. If you have an understocked tank with an overpowered filter, then maybe yeah it’s a solid additive to keep things looking and smelling more pristine. #fish #goldfish #aquarium #carbon | Luke’s Goldies
