Behold—our first successful baby bird renesting of 2024! 🐥🪹 Did you know baby birds are the most common patient at the Wildlife Care Center in spring and summer? In many cases, they’re fledglings that don’t require medical care unless they’re injured. Fledglings are baby birds that leave the nest and spend time on the ground before they can fly. Mom and/or dad carefully observes them from a distance, teaching them critical survival skills. Fledglings can hop, walk, flap, and may attempt flight
