My Northern glass or Fleischmann’s glass frogs (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni) are feasting on 1/4-inch crickets for dinner 🦗💥🐸. Glass frogs are fantastic little amphibians! These beautiful frogs get their common name due to the transparency of their skin. Although this varies between species (there are many different species of glass frog), some glass frogs are so see-through that you can see their bones and organs! This trait helps them blend into their surroundings incredibly well. Imagin

A new group of Northern Glass or Fleischmann’s Glass frog (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni) tadpoles are about to hit the water! The tadpoles are developing well and will soon drop into a small pool of water below the leaf they are attached to, where they will feed, grow and develop into another captive-bred generation of glass frogs! Remarkable! My last group is growing well! There are still no signs of limb development yet, but hopefully soon! Follow along to see their development! Glass frogs
